In the newest incarnation of the American Vintage series, Fender have reimagined the whole process of producing faithful reproductions of classic models, from restoring original tooling dies, voicing new pickups, reformulating vintage colors and more, based on actual vintage guitars they tracked down and examined. The American Vintage '56 Stratocaster takes you back to when the model was still relatively new. Built to authentic '56 specifications, it features a discernibly thicker maple neck with V-shaped profile, alder or ash body with deep contours and alnico pickups wound to vintage specifications. This meticulous authenticity even extends to the single-ply white pickguard with eight holes, vintage bridge saddles and tuner spacing.
